He was confirmed on May 10, 1925 at St. Ambrose Church by Archbishop Curley, and took the name of Joseph at the age of 9 yr. and 9 months. St. Ambrose's School opened on September 8, 1925 and Ed was in the 5th. grade. Ed served Mass for the first time on October 26, 1925. Ed graduated from Loyola High School in 1933 and from Loyola College of Baltimore in 1937/48. His first job was with the Fidelity Trust Company starting on January 13,1937. He served in the United States Coast Guard Reserve for 5 years during World War II. He studied accounting for 5 years at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He retired as Vice President of Maryland National Bank in 1981. He began work as a volunteer in the treasurer's office at the Jesuit Provincial House, with Father Anthony Zeits, in 1981. He was a member of Board of Directors of Druid Hill Federal Building and Loan Association for 12 years, and of the Loyola College Alumni Board. He Graduated from Mount Washington Country School and Loyola High School, both in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended Loyoula College in Baltimore, Maryland. He served as a member of the 136th. Evacuation Hospital (SMBL) at Fort Benning, Georgia, and of the United States Air Force Reserve 22nd. Medical Service Squadron (HQ. COMD USAF), Andrews Air Force Base, Washington, D.C. Ned was 6'7' tall and an outstanding basketball player both in high school and college. He died in a successful water rescue effort at Sherwood Forest, Anne Arundel County, Maryland on September 8, 1976 at the age of 29. He married Sharyn Maas. James Edward Macatee III was born on 24 March 1946 at Mercy Hospital, Baltimore, Md.. He was the son of James Edward Macatee Jr. and Dorothy Catherine Piquette. James Edward Macatee

     James Edward Macatee Ned was one of 14 children of Frank B. Macatee. He came to Baltimore from Harford County in about 1913 when he began work at Griffith and Turner, a farm and garden supply house in Baltimore. He was general sales manager there. When Griffith and Turner failed he became the manager of 5 theatres in Baltimore, until he retired in 1934 at 65 years of age. He re-entered the work force at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond and ultimately retired from Sam Patison and Company in 1962 at the age of 80. He died at the age of 89. The last 10 years of his life were spent in the home of his daughter. He was baptized at Pylesville, Harford County, Md.. He was born on 26 August 1882 at Pylesville, Harford County, Md; According to his son's birth certificate, Ned was 35 at the birth of his son, which could make his birth date 1880, not 1882. He married Mary Loretta Jamison, daughter of Richard Croxall Jamison and Kate Starkey, on 26 September 1914 at Immaculate Conception, Baltimore, Md; Married by Father Neck. James Edward Macatee died on 31 July 1972 at Baltimore, Md., at age 89. He was buried on 31 July 1972.

Dorothy Catherine Piquette

     Dorothy Catherine Piquette was buried at St. Mary's Church, Pylesville, Harford County, Md.. She Dot graduated form Seton High School in 1934. (While at Seton she designed the new school uniform which was adopted by the school.) She graduated from the Mercy Hospital Nurses Training School in 1938. She underwnet heart surgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in 1981 and again in 1990. She died on November 2, 1990 at the Johns Hopkins Hospital after a stay of 52 days in the cardiac intensive care unit. She was President of the Loyola High School Mothers' Club, and Treasurer of the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary for 8 years. She was President of the P.K. Chemical Company, a Company founded by her Grandfather, Dr. John Phillip Piquette, prior to 1905.She was a very active volunteer worker for various Jesuit causes for the last 20 years of her life. She was baptized at Baltimore, Md.. She was born on 19 July 1915 at Baltimore, Md; Born at home, 2415 Harlem Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland. Born 11:20 A.M. the second of twins. She married James Edward Macatee Jr., son of James Edward Macatee and Mary Loretta Jamison, on 5 December 1940 at St. Bernadine's, Baltimore, Md; Witnesses were Thomas Langmead and Mary Morgenroth.
