Jerauld was born at Amherst, Ma., on 4 June 1898. He was the son of William Mason Wright and Marjorie R. Jerauld. 1952 - 1954 commander of the U.S. naval forces in the eastern Atlantic and Mediterranean.
1954 - 1960 commander of the U.S. Atlantic Fleet and NATO Supreme Allied Commander in the Atlantic. He married Phyllis B. Thompson at St. Andrew's Dune Church, Southampton, N.Y., on 23 July 1938.1 Jerauld Wright was Ambassador to Tiawan, 1963-65 in 1963. Jerauld died on 27 April 1995 at Washington, D.C., at age 96.2
