James Edward Macatee III was baptized at Baltimore, Md.. James Edward Macatee III also went by the name of Ned. He Graduated from Mount Washington Country School and Loyola High School, both in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended Loyoula College in Baltimore, Maryland. He served as a member of the 136th. Evacuation Hospital (SMBL) at Fort Benning, Georgia, and of the United States Air Force Reserve 22nd. Medical Service Squadron (HQ. COMD USAF), Andrews Air Force Base, Washington, D.C. Ned was 6'7' tall and an outstanding basketball player both in high school and college. He died in a successful water rescue effort at Sherwood Forest, Anne Arundel County, Maryland on September 8, 1976 at the age of 29. He married
