The eastern bluebird (seen in the photograph) is a favorite of bird watchers and nature lovers because of its beautiful colors and delightful song. Since the early 1970s Gunston Hall has been part of an effort to help restore the native bluebird population by providing man-made nest boxes throughout the property.

Gunston Hall Plantation is a wonderful place for birdwatching. Bring this list with you when you visit and see how many you can spot!
